If you are working on Windows youll need to install Git for Windows. The 1Password SSH agent can then take over and listen on the system-wide pipe at \\.\pipe\openssh-ssh-agent. On OSX, the native ssh-add command has a special argument to save the private keys passphrase. The SSH transport is a very exciting improvement to Gitblit. If the service status shows the agent is running, click stop. In the "Startup type" menu, choose Disabled. Select OpenSSH Authentication Agent in the list of services and press Enter. If you do see the OpenSSH Authentication Agent in the list, continue with these steps to disable it from startup and make sure it's not running: Git with HTTPS uses public-key encryption-based authentication for doing every action like git push, git clone, git fetch and git pull, etc. Uses public key encryption to secure data. If you don't see the OpenSSH Authentication Agent in the list, skip ahead to the steps to turn on the SSH agent in 1Password. Git used SSH protocol to securely transfer repository data over the internet. Look for the OpenSSH Authentication Agent in the list of services. Go to Services > OpenSSH Authentication Agent (press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run window, type services.msc and press Enter or click OK).
